This was an okay Week in School, although I still suck at Frisbee! The good news is that it was widely successful Test-wise (apart from THAT Test) but a bit lacking in everything else. I also heard about my future in this College, namely what a crucial year 3eme will be, seen as it will mark the end of an era.
Monday was a bit boring. German finally saw me interrogated on questions like 'What is your least-favourite subject?', 'What Class are you in?' and 'Do you have any sisters?'. Basically it was like the Teacher was interviewing me, and I think I did very well. The rest of the hour was just a few grammer exercises, so nothing to really comment on. Technology was next and we corrected the Test on Communications (how a computer transmits a signal, binary code ect....), which marked another 'win' for me: a 13/15. Then the Teacher announced that there would be ANOTHER Technology Test on Wednesday! That's three Tests in a row now! We had Permanence instead of Art because for some reason the Art Teacher was absent, which was a shame because I had brought some photo's of fluffy to put on my diaporama that represented my life in 12 images. Maths was more exercises, you had to figure out whether a diagramme was proportionnal or not. Maths is the lesson equivalent of a chore now, I don't really know why I write about it on my Blog at all, its always going to be just endless exercise after exercise for as long as time. I mean the Maths Teachers tactic is to keep giving us the same exercise (except instead of Guru Larry's fancy cars it Berts egg problem or some really boring problem like that) and keep repeating it til' the procedure is instantaneous.
The Afternoon was alright, History was now focusing on what France was like AFTER Napoleon was shunted off to that deserted island somewhere in the ocean. Basically things went even thurther down the craphole for the french people. Damn it must have sucked living in those times! French was a bit boring, to be honest it was so dull I can't even remember what happened. Something about 'showing your emotions' in a letter or something?
Tuesday was a mixed bag, and things got really heated in Class. Maths was a bit of a mind puzzle, I started to get a bit lost on this proportionality stuff, and it would only get worse from here on! Then there was the three hours with M. Carre (she teaches History and French aswell as being our 'main' Teacher so we've got alot of hours with her) in which the Class just quite simply lost it. Now I'll be the first to admit that THREE hours with the same Teacher (especially two hours of which is French!) isn't the most 'fun' idea ever created, but my Class did their upmost to completely drain any sense of calmness out of her. History is always boring on a Tuesday morning, but that doesn't mean you have to shout it at the Teachers face! Yeah, if the Teacher wasn't telling off someone off for chucking bits of rubber about the place then she trying to satisfy the constant moans of the rest of the Class:
- 'Miss! I can't see the writing on the board, can you turn it this way?
- 'Miss! Now I can't see it, turn it back this way!'
- 'Miss! can you move the projector this way?'
- 'Miss! You haven't rubbed out that bit of the board correctly!'
- 'Miss! Can I open the window in here, its really hot!'
The Afternoon was a bit better though, English was a few more grammatical lessons and in German we had to create our 'Ideal School Timetable' in which we could make our perfect school Week. Of course I was quick to eliminate French, Maths, Sport, S.V.T and Extra Maths from the schedule!
Tuesday night was the parents meeting to discuss 3eme. Basically things are going to get alot harder, and tougher. The Brevet is a total of 380 points, and most of the lessons were on 20 points but much to my disdain Maths and French was on 40 points apiece! Well thats my chance at getting a superieur Brevet shattered then! Mme Philippe (our previous headmaster) sent us a long letter which said on how important next year was and that you really have to focus NOW in order to be on top form for next year.
Wednesday was the worst day of the Week, but not necessarily horrible. Sport was the worst yet, Frisbee was just *FACEPALM* When a Frisbee hits you in the face and you STILL manage to drop it onto the floor even when it was practically GIVEN to you then you know you're not cut out for this schtick! Guh, erase that hour from my brain, PLEASE! Technology was the Test on how information and energy carries around a automatic gate system or something like that and it was probably the hardest Technology Test yet if I'm honest. You had five pages to read, which detailed really complicated stuff and then there was a page of puzzling questions to answer...to be honest I'm not 100% certain on this one guys. First failed Technology Test of the year? Good god that would be diastrous! French was even worse than yesterday, to the point where half the Class was sent to the Headmistress and one could be permenantly exluded from the College forever! Somehow the girl/bitch still thought that this was a positive, because 'I get an extra month of Holidays this way!' Now when a student thinks being exluded is a positive, then its seriously time to go!
Thursday was alright actually! I know, I was shocked too! Maths was pretty bad though. I felt a bit submerged by the heap of calculations you had to do just to find out the amount of money David needed to buy his eggs. Well David can go &%$£ himself! Sport was surprisingly okay, but then again I was always in the winning team this time. They never learn though, they keep putting me in goal and I'm consistantly terrible in it! It helped that I was the only wink link in the team, I mean the ball hardly came over to my bit they were so good! S.V.T was us watching an educational documentary on how a baby is born, and it wasn't that bad, no gross images or anything like that. German in the afternoon was alright, we had fun inventing weird idea's for lessons. I noted that the Teacher was really ill but that didn't stop him from coming in, unlike that other one. In Music I scored a really great 15/15 in my last Test and we did a bit of spring cleaning in the Classroom. We were also evaluated on a bit of singing, boys vs girls. Apparently the Results went from 12 to 18/20 so here's hoping I scored high? The song was completely bollocks by the way.
Friday was again alright. History was fine, we're now studying the industrial revolution of the late 1800s. Poor planet earth, the moment we found coal and diesel everything ended for those poor polar bears. I also got my last Test Result back, and of course it was a shining 17/20. French was good, my intimate letter needed alot of rewriting though. Maths was passable, I just keep getting more and more lost on this proportionality thing. The afternoon was the Science Test, Science and English. The Test went extremely well, and I got the Result back this Monday: a 'radiant' 17,5/20! Science itself was alright, we're not doing anything complicated at the moment, we just keep on mesuring the intensity and the tension of different electrical circuits. English was a lesson on the time, which I think the all Frenchies nailed. I mean it isn't hard to say five to twelve now is it? You'd think we're in bloody pre-school!
So this Week was fine, I'm just going through the motions at the moment. Next Week will be a shorter post due to the fact that we're only in Monday-Wednesday.
